Umpteenth Time

chill of the night was as cold as my day
when considering you look at me
with what i have to prove
that i love you

with what i have to demonstrate
that i love you all day

but i have not said the words
no longer visible
where your steps are
where your shadows are

the umpteenth time I have
to be disappointed because love
has not approached properly

or turn to a blind eye

while my heart is always echoing

Moonlight

tonight i see the clear sky without clouds
blocking the moonlight
beautifully accompanied
by the twinkling stars

i sit on my roof
enjoying the beautiful evening
i imagine you there by my side
holding me gently
and stroked my hair
until lulled me with folded arms
and deep within you

but i realized
it was only in my thoughts
alone...
i miss you
to come here...

The value of money

The value of money
Remember the time you all had snacks candy, with 100 dollars you can get four candy but now with 100 dollars is not possible to grain as well as candy to get the 4 candy now has to spend as much as 500 rupiahs. So.. why is that so?

Before answering it, frankly speaking, I have to said you all on this. In money there are 2 values, named: the nominal value and use value. The nominal value is the value that both the figure and letters written on the money, such as bills of thousand of rupiahs (Rp.1000,-) this go round face value. While the use value of money is a nominal money used to obtain an item, for example as I've pointed out at the beginning of this paper.

To answer the above questions why is that there will be two questions, whether the price of expensive goods or money we are increasingly valuable? That just because the inflation continues to rise each year.

And.. whether the inflation will be..???? I will answer in the next posting. ciao ... :)

Canadian girl youngest ever to spot Supernova

Friday, January 21, 2011 2 comments
Canadian girl youngest ever to spot SupernovaA 10-year-old Canadian girl has become the youngest person ever to discover a supernova, or exploding star, according to the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.

Eagle-eyed Kathryn Aurora Gray, from Fredericton in the eastern province of New Brunswick, made the rare find on Sunday as she combed dozens of telescopic images of star fields in far-away galaxies.

"The RASC is pleased to announce the discovery of a supernova by a 10-year-old amateur astronomer -- the youngest person ever to have made such a discovery," the society said in a statement.

On spotting Supernova 2010lt in the constellation of Camelopardalis in a galaxy 240 light-years from Earth, Gray immediately told her delighted amateur astronomer father Paul.

The find was then verified by two US-based amateur astronomers before being reported to the International Astronomical Union`s Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams.
Supernovae are massive stars that run out of fuel, collapse under the weight of their own gravity and become an ultra-dense object known as a neutron star.

They then send out a shockwave that rips the star apart and leaves a sizzling cauldron of radiation. These colossal events are among the most thrilling phenomena for astronomers and are detected when the high-energy explosion creates a dramatic flare that eventually fades.

Distracted driving

Distracted driving

Federal statistics include a code for factors involved in fatal crashes and they point to a big increase in inattentive driving. "U.S. data combine talking, eating and using cell phones in the same group. We have seen an increase of 42 percent in fatal crashes in which the coder labeled inattention as a factor," Sivak said.

In October researchers at the University of North Texas Health Science Center calculated that drivers using cell phones killed 16,000 people from 2001 to 2007. In 2009 the U.S. government blamed distracted driving for 16 percent of road deaths, or 5,800 deaths.

Sivak said it was difficult to say how much any one factor contributed to overall deaths, but there are clues pointing to the decline in fatalities. "We have found there has been an increase in the deployment of air bags during crashes, especially side air bags," he said. "We have been driving less and we are driving differently."

Air bags, poor economy save road lives

Sunday, January 16, 2011 0 comments
Air bags, poor economy save road livesAir bags and the economic recession have contributed to the biggest drop in road deaths in the United States since World War II, U.S. researchers said.

Changes in driving patterns and safety features both contributed to a 22 percent decline in road deaths between 2005 and 2009, Michael Sivak and Brandon Schoettle of the University of Michigan said in a report that studied federal data looking for the causes associated with fatal crashes.

"From 2005 to 2009, U.S. road fatalities dropped by 22 percent (from 43,510 to 33,963). A reduction of such magnitude over such a short time has not occurred since road safety statistics were first kept (starting in 1913), except for the reductions during World War II," they wrote in the journal Traffic Injury Prevention.

"We were amazed by the magnitude of this," Sivak said in a telephone interview. Separately, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that 85 percent of American drivers say they use seat belts all the time, while 1 in 7 do not. Traffic deaths in 2009 were the lowest since 1954, the U.S. Department of Transportation said in March.

"The two general factors that we are putting our money on are technological advances, primarily air bags, and the economic downturn," Sivak said.

He and Schoettle analyzed traffic patterns and found, for instance, an overall 4 percent drop in traffic, with notable decreases during rush hour and less traffic on high-speed interstate highways. They also found fewer crashes involving trucks, along with data that less freight is being shipped.

"This supports the notion that people are cutting down on travel and staying closer to home. Traffic on local streets has increased," Sivak said.

Al Gore - Indonesia can be super power on geothermal energy

Thursday, January 13, 2011 14 comments
Al Gore - Indonesia can be super power on geothermal energyNobel Peace Prize recipient Al Gore has predicted that Indonesia can become a geothermal super power country. Speaking to the participants of The Climate Project Asia Pacific Summit here on Sunday, Al Gore said that Indonesia could become a super power country in electricity production from geothermal energy and this would benefit its economy.

He said that Indonesia was the world's third largest electricity producer country from geothermal energy, followed by the Philippines. Geothermal energy is a carbon-free electricity resource, he said. Solutions to climate change involved many steps which could reduce cost and reduce carbon dioxide emission, Al Gore, who is also an Oscar winner for the movie "Inconvenient Truth," said.

Indonesia has a unique carbon emission profile as most of its emissions come from the forest and peat land sectors, he said. Efficient use of land and ground could increase economic values and reduce pollution from green house gas, he said. He said that mitigation efforts such as the termination of burning and opening of peat lands and forest would have a great impact, he said.

"I thank President Yudhoyono for his idea, courage and leadership on issues that we have discussed and worked on," he said. Al Gore praised President Yudhoyono because the president had initiated to speak up at a time when there was no initiative coming from G-77 member countries, to break the impasse in the international conference of climate change.

There has been improvement in the climate change conference thanks to Yudhoyono's leadership, he said. "I do respect him and admire his leadership and the target he promised in Kopenhagen," Al Gore said.

Indonesian, American women's soccer exchangePrior to leaving Jakarta, the coaches shared the stage @america with four female Indonesian athletes (Rally Marina-car racer, Fanny Kalumata, player of the women's national basketball team, Andari Putrianti, member of the Indonesian Youth National Female Softball team and Santia, Silver Medal winner at the SEA GAMES 2010 in Athletics) and Monica Desideria from the Indonesian Soccer Association (PSSI) and ANTV to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing women in sports.

Two Indonesian soccer fans die in train accident

Tuesday, January 11, 2011 2 comments
Two Indonesian soccer team's supporters died after falling from the roof of "Tawang Jaya" train on Pekalongan town's rail track, Central Java, on Friday. The victims were identified as Anik Abdullah, 17, of Bogel subdistrict, Jepara district, and Surono, 34, of Sidoarjo village, Sambirejo subdistrict, Sragen district, Central Java. The ill-fated young men were going by train after watching the second leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup's final match at Gelora Bung Karno stadium in Jakarta last Wednesday evening.

Two Indonesian soccer fans die in train accidentAccording to Ahmad Abdul Malik, the victims' friend, the accident occurred when Anik Abdullah and Surono were walking fast on the roof of the train. But unaware of a telephone cable of the Tirto railway safety gate of Pekalongan town they got stuck on the phone cable, he said. As a result, they fell to the ground and were carried by the moving train several meters before the train stopped, he said adding that they died on the spot of fatal injuries.

Ahmad Abdul Malik, 31, further said local residents had reported the accident to the police on their way back to Semarang, Central Java. He said his two friends moved to the roof instead of sitting inside the train as there were no place to sit.

"Their dead bodies were kept at Kraton general hospital's morgue," Malik said.
The second leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup`s final match was watched by over a hundred thousand soccer fans.

The Indonesian soccer team won the final match, held on Wednesday evening, with 2-1 but the championship trophy was grabbed by Malaysia with an aggregate victory of 4-2.

Garuda team members performed well from the beginning with the enthusiastic support of crowds of fans, including President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono. In the first leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup's final in Kuala Lumpur on December 26, the Malaysian tiger crushed Garuda (eagle) 3-0. Actually Indonesia had beaten Malaysia in the cup's preliminary competition 5-1 in Jakarta.

But the performance of the Malayan tiger squad successfully improved and beat Vietnam in the cup's semifinal. Indonesia itself could get the final ticket after beating the Philippines in the first and second legs of the cup's semifinal at Gelora Bung Karno stadium. Indonesia's victory against the Philippines team in the 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup's semifinal last Sunday evening had revived the nation's pride but the "Red and White" squad was not successful in grabbing the AFF Suzuki Cup's trophy.

Mayor northern Mexican town found shot to deathThe mayor of a small Mexican town was found shot to death on Friday afternoon, local media said, in a sign that local officials continue to be targeted by criminal gangs.

Saul Vara had been missing since mid-week and his body was found off a highway about 200 miles (320 km) from his municipality of Zaragoza, which is in the northern state of Coahuila, local media said.

Officials said that several shell casings were found near the body presumed to be Vara. Last year, 13 mayors were killed as the government continued a campaign against violent drug traffickers.

French pop star delivers own first baby

Sunday, January 9, 2011 0 comments
A French pop star at age 66 delivered his first child unaided when his 27-year-old partner went into labour at their US home in the middle of the night, he said on French radio Monday.

French pop star delivers own first babyMichel Polnareff, a singer noted for his striking curly mop of blond hair and big white sunglasses, stepped in as emergency midwife for Danyellah, the mother of his first child, at their home in Los Angeles on December 28.

"I found myself in the position of having to deliver my son. I had no choice. The midwife was late," he told radio station Europe 1. The couple had planned for the child to be born at home.

"I didn't panic for a moment. I wasn't at all worried," he added. "One thing I knew was that the baby`s neck is very fragile and I absolutely had to support the head. I rushed to put my hand under his head. It was such a beautiful and unexpected moment."

Polnareff first came to fame with the hit song "Le Poupee Qui Fait Non" ("The Doll Who Says No") in 1966 and saw success outside France, moving to the United States in 1973. He said the baby had not yet been named.

Pertamina needs new exploration technology

Saturday, January 8, 2011 4 comments
Pertamina needs new exploration technologyTo boost its production in 2011, PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of state oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, needs not only to find new reserves but also a new exploration concept and technology, an analyst said.

"In theory, there are two conditions Pertamina EP must meet to achieve its production target for 2011, namely find new potential gas and oil blocks or basins and make a breakthrough in oil and gas exploration technology," Dr Iskanda Zulkarnaen, a geotechnology analyst at the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), said here Wednesday.

He said the conventional exploration technology used so far could not optimally explore the available oil and gas basins in Indonesia. "There are 60 basins in Indonesia but only few of them prove to hold viable oil and gas reserves. But with new technology it will be possible to find reserves not only in the basins but also in any existing sub-basins," Iskandar said.

Therefore, a new exploration concept was essential for Pertamina EP to find hidden oil and gas potentials in the available basins, he said. However, new technology might not be cheap and be kept by certain parties to gain more profit from the oil and gas sector, he said. "If Pertamina EP could achieve its production target, it would indirectly reduce the country`s need to import oil and gas and make it easier for the company to meet the domestic demand for oil and gas," he said.

The support of the government, local administrations and local residents around any newly discovered basins was needed for Pertamina EP to reach its oil and gas production target, he said. Previously, after exceeding this year`s production target, PT Pertamina EP was ready to increase oil production from 130,200 barrels per day in 2010 to 132,000 barrrels per day next year.

Its president director, Salis Aprilian, that crude and condensate production in 2011 was expected to reach 132,000 barrels per day or a rise by 1.4 percent from 130,000 barrels per day in 2010. "However because of a natural decline of 18 percent, production actually increased by 20 percent," he said. The quite steep drop happened because most of the oil wells were old and some of them had even produced 30 percent less, he said.

Leading "Spider-man" actress quits show

Wednesday, January 5, 2011 5 comments
Leading In the latest disappointment for the ambitious Broadway production of Spider-Man, one of the lead actresses who suffered a concussion during its first preview performance is quitting the show.

Natalie Mendoza, who plays the villainess Arachne and is the second lead female role after Spider-Man's girlfriend, has been working out an exit agreement for the past several days, The New York Times reported on Tuesday. A spokesman for the production did not return an e-mail seeking comment.

Mendoza was one of four actors who was so far been injured in the $65 million production that features hi-tech stunts and flying sequences. The actress, who is a major presence in several of the show's songs, written by U2's Bono and The Edge, was struck on the head by a rope offstage during its Nov. 28 preview.

She returned for a performance but then took several weeks off. Then, last week, she posted a Twitter message when a leading stuntman on the show was injured after he plunged from a high platform, saying "a light in my heart went dim tonight."

The stuntman is recovering in hospital after breaking ribs and fracturing vertebrae, causing Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark to suspend several shows over safety concerns. The production is still in previews, allowing producers to warn the audience it is not seeing a finished product. Its current official opening is scheduled for Feb. 7.

The dentist's type of services

The dentist's type of services

Most dental practises limited the number and type of services they performed. In generally, a routine dental practice provided regular day-to-day services, such as check-ups, teeth cleaning, cavity filling, and minor corrective treatments.

If the patient's need were outside the scop of practice's usual treatments, the dentist would then refer the patient to a dentist who specialized in those procedures. For example, a patient who required the removal of wisdom teeth would be referred to a dental surgeon, or a patient requiring orthodontic would be referred to an orthodontist.

This allowed dentist to focus on specific areas of treatment with the hope of providing the highest possible quality of care. This resulted in most dental practices maintaining relationships with specialized dentist who focused on other areas of patient care.
